Dan Gordon Lights a Fire in Your Soul

Dan Gordon may be young, but his music reflects a much older writer. While he's only been in Toronto a short time, he's already turned a lot of heads in the music community.

Stepping into a Dan Gordon show makes you feel like you've stepped back in time.

A time when music was simple, close, and came from the heart.

Dan's roots lend a lot to his soulful mix of acoustic classic blues and country stylings. Growing up in a logging camp near Bruce River, ON, he channels the late night campfires and stories into his music with conviction.

After playing the music scene in Ottawa, Dan relocated to Toronto to continue his work. He recently released Campfire Soul, an EP of all original music. The six track album reflects Dan's shows: you feel like he's singing just for you. Definitely a must for anyone who likes acoustic music ranging from Hayden to Johnny Cash.

Dans also been stretching out his musical arms, joining up with bands Oh! The Pretty Things (who rock the Sliver Dollar March 2nd), and You Call Yourselves Soldiers.

Drop by The Cloak and Dagger (394 College St.) on Wednesday nights after 10PM and your in for a treat. Dan will also be playing at the Gladstone March 14th.
