AWESOMOLOGY!


On Friday night I made my way to the Canadian Corps Legion on Niagara to celebrate Live Country Music's CD release. First of all: Legions are gonna sweep the city, mark my words. Rec-room decor, enough tables and chairs to host a clam bake, $3 beers... and with a warm and cozy atmosphere, came a warm and cozy crowd.

But let's stay on track, here.

Before LCM warmed up the melodies and twanged it up on stage (with Matthew Barber on drums, btw), Henri Faberge & Les Adorables owned the crowd from the first shake of the tambourine. How can I describe this band... imagine a happy family from Saskatchewan who got tired of performing in their living room, and decided to take the show to the Legion in the big city. There were almost 10 folks up there, dressed in fancy red outfits and the instruments ranged from the musical saw to the rhythmic claps of hands. It was amazing!

Back on track.

So after reliving the fine memory of Monsieur Faberge and his group, a quick GOOGLE search taught me that they are performing TONIGHT at the GLADSTONE, in an interesting event called AWESOMOLOGY, where the $5 for entry will be donated to the production of Final Fantasy's music video. I urge you to come out, and don't forget your dance-clogs.
