Shoon, best known for bringing in some of the best selection of funky footwear has started carrying clothes. You know me, there is nothing like a new clothing store to get my giddy goat.

I love that owner Carolyn Eby picked each collection with the same discerning taste that she does her shoes and accessories (sister store Trove is the accessory haven).

Not one to follow the pipe piper, you won't find the same old brands in this store. Every line is carefully selected for some interesting detail or another. I love the fact that the clothing lines that she has so far are mostly independent Canadians.

Here is what she has in store -

Frances Felt, does clothing as well as gorgeous scarves. A real innovator with textiles, each felt piece is carefully hand crafted, and detail on clothing is made from dead stock fabric; thus rendering every piece completely unique.

Cherry Blossom, a line designed by actresses Deanna Milligan and Stacy Grant, mainly consist of gorgeous weight jersey pieces with silk screens is delectable areas. Pieces are usually named after an actress making it really fun.

Umsteigan, an original Montreal girl now based in NY makes fabulous screen printed knits with interesting detail.

Nanna makes accessories and clothing with conscious living in mind. Fabricated from vintage stock or recycled fabric and best of all, 2% proceeds go to Abreast In A Boat, a charity for breast cancer survivors.
