Toronto is getting a Bavarian beer garden for Oktoberfest

Steam Whistle Brewing is ringing in the fall festivities with a day-long celebration of Oktoberfest this weekend.

Whether you're looking to munch on some German cuisine, or knock back a few delicious beers, Oktoberfest at the Biergärten Restaurant might have you covered.

Steam Whistle is offering flexible options for anyone hoping to celebrate Oktoberfest this year, with a variety of ticket and walk-in opportunities to choose from.

The ticketed event package offers you the choice of two times: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. for three hours full of music, food, and of course, beer.

You'll be offered a $60 prix fixe Bavarian meal at the Biergärten Restaurant, a 1-litre stein of beer, a main course, and live Oktoberfest music.

You can also pick your own appetizer, with choices ranging from kale Caesar salad, pretzel or Biergärten poutine. Main course options include a sausage plate, chicken schnitzel, or a vegan broccoli steak.

The walk-in option will run you $20, and gets you a 1-litre stein of beer, plenty of live music, and the chance to order a la carte from the regular Biergärten menu.

The Steam Whistle Tap Room will also be open, where you can eat and drink the Oktoberfest Special, which comes with a 1-litre stein of beer, and a Bavarian pretzel for $20.

Oktoberfest at the Biërgarten Restaurant will run on Sunday, Oct. 2 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 255 Bremner Blvd.
