Timeraiser

Timeraiser Makes Art Auctions Fun

What are you doing this Saturday night? Going out with some friends? Going to a party? Taking in some art? Why not do all of the above and head down to the Distillery District to attend Timeraiser Toronto 2008.

A timeraiser is basically a fundraiser without the funds. Instead of donating money to the affiliated arts, social and environmental groups, you offer something even better; your time and energy. But not only do you end up helping a good cause, you may have the chance to leave with a piece of artwork.

After selecting the agency you'd like to work for, you can bid your hours on a piece of artwork donated by local Toronto artist. If your bid is the highest, the artwork is yours after the completion of your hours! With groups such as Luminato, AMREF Canada, Evergreen to work with, and fantastic artwork to come home with, everybody wins.

Tickets are $20 and you can register at the Timeraiser website for more information.
