Sept 21 -- this week in the Gallery Space:

Make Your Own Life (above), is on this week at The Power Plant (231 Queens Quay W). The exhibition features a long list of international artists and launches this weekend along with accompanying events. Tonight at 7pm, attend the opening party with music by DJ Produzentin.

Also tonight, Toronto Free Gallery (660 Queen S E) is hosting the Toronto Public Space Committee's, Streets to Screens 2006. Streets to Screens is an NFB indie film series "about the cities we live in, the spaces we share, the obstacles we face, and the people who are trying to make a difference." Tonight's screening starts at 7:30pm and is FREE, though there is a suggested donation of $3 to the TPSC. Monthly screenings are planned.

Acclaimed Icelandic artist Finnbogi Pétursson makes debut in Canada with his sound-sculpting installation entitled, Traps. Exhibit opens tonight at InterAccess (9 Ossington Avenue). Pétursson will also give an artist talk on Wednesday, Sept 27th at 7pm for those who'd like to hear more about the work from the artist himself.

Saturday, Silence and Image, new painted works by Erika Bämpfer Deery, opens at Arta Gallery (#102, Building 9, 55 Mill Street) at 5pm. Exhibit runs 'til Oct 12.
